Like a desperate lounge music, only the crooners are flinging feces instead of soothing mellifluously. Ever seen those photos of IRA prisoners in the H-block in the '80s, stripped naked of their own accord in freezing cells and having rubbed their shit all over the walls? Surreal. Mouth Of The Architect is 'soothing' but in a surreal, dangerous fashion.
Musically, Time And Withering is of a lighter substance than their following masterwork The Ties That Blind. But it still has a solid throbbing prescence. Post-doomy and punctuated by sore throat vocalizing, driven forward if slightly lax in proactive impact. But indicative of higher future enterprise.
